Ipswich Town have signed midfielder Jens Cajuste from Napoli on a season-long loan, the newly promoted Premier League club announced late on Monday.
The 25-year-old, who has 23 caps for Sweden, has 26 appearances for Serie A side Napoli after joining from French club Reims last year.
Cajuste, who won the Danish Superliga with Midtjylland before moving to France, is delighted to have completed the move.
“It took a little while to negotiate, but I’m finally here and I’m super excited,” he said in a statement.
Ipswich manager Kieran McKenna said Cajuste’s arrival has enriched his options in midfield.
“He brings another look to our midfield and puts us in a strong position in that department,” McKenna said.
Ipswich will face Manchester City in the next round of the Premier League on Saturday after losing 2-0 at home to Liverpool in their season opener.
