Muscat: Buraimi Industrial City has made great progress, with investments exceeding SR19 million as of the first half of this year. The city’s total investment has soared to SR277 million, employing 1,674 workers, including 365 Omanis and 1,309 expatriates, with an Omanisation rate of 22%.

Saeed bin Abdullah al Balushi, General Manager of Buraimi Industrial City, reported an increase in the number of projects, investments and leased space. By mid-2024, the city had hosted 362 investments and 115 third-party projects (subcontracts), for a total of 477 projects. The city’s leased area reached 1,879,101 square meters.

In the first half of 2024, there are 15 new projects with a total area of ​​87,000 square meters. These projects cover industrial, commercial and service industries, with an occupancy rate of 39%.

Al Balushi highlighted incentives for new contracts signed in 2024, including a 100% rent reduction for 24 months and a 50% rent reduction for the next 36 months. These incentives are aimed at attracting more investment and boosting economic growth.

The Buraimi Industrial City creates jobs for residents and promotes local production, which strongly supports the national economy and contributes to the gross domestic product.
