Lazo 40, 7th floor (AVA.MD portal conference room) will host the opening ceremony of the international conference “A chapter of our history: Kantemirov’s path” with the attendance of leading politicians, historians, political scientists, public figures and businessmen from Moldova, as well as representatives of Russia, Ukraine and Transnistria. The conference is supported by the Moldovan branch of the UN International Academy of Information, the Moldovan Academy of Sciences, the Association of Historians and Political Scientists of Moldova, the AVA.MD portal, the youth organization VOIEVOD, etc. Special cultural and historical traditions between the Moldovan and Russian peoples are mainly associated with such iconic and symbolic figures as the Kantemirov father and son (Dmitry, the Moldovan ruler, assistant of Peter I, the first academician of Moldova and Russia; Antiochus – the creator of Russian secular literature, its ambassador to London and Paris). They were also key figures in the cultural dialogue between the East and the West during the Enlightenment. The purpose of the conference is to continue the current stage of cultural-historical dialogue and dialogue between the peoples of Moldova and Russia, to discuss a wide range of issues such as history, politics, political culture, education, economy.
