The event was diverse, including the screening of the shortlisted films and the announcement of the jury. The ceremony attracted a wide participation of 51 countries, with a large audience and extensive media attention. The event’s selection committee announced the shortlisted videos of the two competitions, the national “Tunisian Consumer” and the international “Citizenship and Sustainable Development”. The videos showed creativity and innovation in addressing local consumption and sustainable development issues, which reflects the participants’ awareness of the importance of these sustainable and developmental themes. The festival received 167 promotional videos from 34 countries and selected 88 videos from 20 countries after meeting the terms and conditions of participation. The preliminary review committee noted the improvement and development in terms of content and new ideas compared to previous editions. Among the entries: 238 Tunisian entries were received for the international competition, of which 26 videos were accepted, 25 Tunisian entries were received for the “Tunisian Consumer” competition, of which 16 were accepted. Algeria also participated with 82 entries, of which 9 were accepted, and Morocco with 39 entries, of which only 1 was accepted. Iraq received 32 entries, of which 8 were accepted, and India received 10 entries, of which 1 was accepted. Egypt received 59 entries, of which 7 were accepted, and Palestine received 3 entries, all of which were accepted. Among other entries, entries from France, Jordan, China, Syria, Oman, Iran, Lebanon, Italy, Yemen and Pakistan were accepted.
One entry from the Netherlands has also been registered and accepted. For this awards ceremony, the International Jury Chairman and members, appointed by the founding director Mr. Walid bin Hassan and the fourth director Mr. Ayman Darduri, will evaluate the participating videos and determine the winners of the festival.
