The notice stated that these “foreign teachers” were suspected of “writing” or “polishing” application materials for Chinese students in order to gain admission advantages and cater to overseas anti-China forces.
Finally, the Ministry of Education called on international students, prospective international students and their parents to be vigilant and beware of the “modification and processing services” provided by study abroad agencies.
This is not the first time China has warned international students about national security risks. In February, Chinese intelligence agencies warned Chinese students not to cooperate with foreign spies.
