The first injured Palestinians arrived in Baghdad for medical treatment on government instructions.
“As part of the ‘Rescue Gaza’ operation launched by the Iraqi government, under the guidance of Prime Minister Mohammad Shia al-Sudani and under the supervision of Health Minister Saleh Mahdi al-Hasnawi, the first group of wounded Palestinians arrived in Iraq from Egypt on a military aircraft for treatment,” the health ministry said in a statement.
“The injured were received by the representative of the Minister of Health, Technical Deputy Minister Dr Hani Moussa Al Kabi, and a team from the Ministry of Health, including medical and paramedical personnel,” the statement said.
The Ministry of Health ambulances took the 27 injured and their 42 companions to the Medical City Department Hospital for treatment.
