Around 10:00 pm on Saturday, police officers from Vama Veche police station – 2 Mai 2 sector received an alert about shots being fired.
Upon investigation, it was discovered that the garage door’s safety glass was broken.
“After checking, it was determined that the noise came from the neighboring yard, where an object was projected at high speed. No objects that could cause damage were found on the persons identified at the scene at the time of the intervention. The trigger of the conflict could have been the use of some fireworks by persons in the appellant’s building, who were among those who did not need authorization,” Constanta police broadcast on Sunday.
Later, at around 9:34 a.m. on Sunday, police identified those involved in the previous night’s incident in vehicles caught in a traffic jam as part of Operation Blocada.
As a result, an authorized non-lethal weapon was discovered and seized by police.
The identified persons were taken to the police headquarters to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Officers from the Environmental Crime Investigation Unit are continuing to investigate cases of non-compliance with the weapons and ammunition regulations, illegal use of weapons and sabotage.
