The situation in New Caledonia remains volatile. This mid-June weekend was once again marked by abuses. Some schools were once again the target of arson attacks.

The Ernest Risbeck primary school in Noumea was intact. However, access to the Trianon Palace and its surrounding area, Toubande, was very difficult, so the start of the school year was postponed. It was originally scheduled for June 17. Therefore, after a fire in the nearby area, the deadline was postponed from Saturday evening, June 15 to Sunday, June 16.
