During a search of the house of a 43-year-old man in Goriska, criminal investigators seized the illegal drug marijuana and several marijuana plants in glass jars and PVC bags, as well as 12 packages with an unknown white substance, which they suspected was an illegal drug. An automatic firearm, which was a prohibited weapon, was also seized, the Nova Gorica Police Department announced.

The criminals also seized from the suspects an electronic scale for accurate measurements and cash totaling 930 euros. The Nova Gorica Police Department (PU) announced that they also found a laboratory for growing marijuana, magazines and 327 bullets for the aforementioned automatic weapons.
The seized substances and plants have been sent for analysis
The Regional State Prosecutor’s Office and the investigating judge of the Nova Gorica District Court were informed of the found weapons.
The house search was conducted pursuant to a house search warrant issued by the Nova Gorica District Court on suspicion of committing a misdemeanor under the Law on Illegal Drug Production and Trafficking.
Based on the results of preliminary tests on seized substances and plants, as well as the findings on seized firearms, criminal investigators from Nova Gorica will file criminal charges at the Nova Gorica Regional State Prosecutor’s Office against a 43-year-old man on the grounds of reasonable suspicion of unjustified production and trafficking of illegal drugs, illegal substances and procedures in sports and ingredients previously used for the production of illegal drugs, and suspicion of illegal production and trafficking of weapons or explosives.
