IMF warns Botswana against spending as growth slows 
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has warned Botswana to cut spending as economic growth slows due to a decline in diamond exports.
The IMF team, led by Luc Ayrault, Division Director of the IMF’s African Department and Head of Mission to Botswana, said Botswana’s economy is expected to decelerate further this year, with growth of 1%.
