Libreville, Tuesday, July 23, 2024 (Infos Gabon) – This was announced at a press conference chaired by the Minister of Housing, Urban Planning and Cadastre on Monday, July 22, in Libreville.

In front of national and international media, Ludovic Megné Ndong reviewed in more detail the press release 0063 of the Institutional Transition and Restoration Commission, issued by Colonel Ulrich Manfoumbi Manfoumbi, announcing the implementation of the first phase of the Igoumié Land Development Project in Owendo to meet Gabon’s growing land needs.

The total area of ​​plots produced in the first phase of the program is 25 hectares, consisting of 500 plots of 500 square meters each in Igoumié, in the commune of Owendo.

According to members of the government, the distribution of these properties will begin on August 15, 2024, under the responsibility of the notary office of Maître Suzanne Ogoula Rekandiwe, who is in charge of this operation.

The Minister noted that the picketing phase of plots, tracks and poles will be carried out within ten (10) days starting yesterday. Water supply will start after two (2) weeks.

Regarding the procurement costs, each Gabonese must provide a total of 2.5 million CFA francs, in addition to all the necessary documentation. The land will be distributed to the first five hundred (500) Gabonese who have paid the required amount.

Ludovic Megné Ndong also assured those whose documents will not be selected. According to him, their cases will be processed for the other 1,500 waiting plots, the delivery of which will be done gradually.

These initiatives, driven by the transitional president, aim to give all Gabonese people the opportunity to become landowners under the “1 Youth 1 Plot” project.
