Pep Guardiola recently took shots at UEFA, FIFA and Premier League bosses ahead of England’s upcoming season.
Guardiola is preparing his team for the Premier League and Community Shield games against Manchester United.
There’s been a lot of pressure on celebrities across Europe after this summer’s EEC, but the Olympics are also in full swing, with many big-name stars taking part.
Guardiola himself said he had to look after his players because they were receiving little or no help from league management.
“We were late, it was all about not losing too many points, we wanted to compete. We didn’t play all the players because they needed to rest.” Guardiola said recently.
“If the big associations like FIFA, UEFA and the Premier League don’t look after the players, the coaches have to, otherwise they will die.”
“It’s too much, three weeks or a month is what we need, but that’s the way the competition is and we need to adapt.”
British media said that Guardiola’s remarks had little impact on the English Football Association, not to mention UEFA and FIFA.
There is little speculation that this arrangement will change in the coming years and it looks like Guardiola will have to look after his players for the next few years.
