In May, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) delivered 900 dignity kits to women and girls. It also deployed eight mobile clinics to provide sexual and reproductive health and gender-based violence services and support. The UNFPA helpline, which provides psychosocial support, received more than 160 calls in May.
Humanitarian partners continue to warn of worsening situation 268,000 displaced people in southern Haiti.this means 95% Since March.
Meanwhile, the health system continues to face severe challenges, crippled by recent violence and years of lack of investment. Currently, only 20% of health facilities in Port-au-Prince are functioning properly.
This year’s humanitarian response plan provided $674 million, but only 23 percent, or $156 million, has been implemented.
