Elseid Hysaj is calmly continuing his work under the orders of Lazio coach Baroni. The Albanian defender, despite being put on the market by the Blue and White club, does not seem to be leaving the capital for the time being.
The club has long been trying to find a new arrangement for him, as it feels the player’s services are no longer needed. But the problem is that Hysaj’s contract with Lazio does not expire until next year, and the amount of money he benefits from it is high.
Corriere dello Sport revealed that all teams that had shown interest in the Albanian national team defender had withdrawn after learning that the amount of benefit in the last year of Hysaj’s contract was relatively high.
The player will receive 2.8 million euros in the last year of his contract with Lazio, and there is no intention to lower the “standard”. Therefore, since no team is willing to meet this high number, Hysaj is believed to stay in Lazio to the end of the contract, although he may not be activated often.
