Seeking information on JAMES HOY and son CHARLES HOY. Both were confectioners/bakers in Ottawa, Ontario in the 1870s. James was born in Ireland in 1816 of Scottish descent. Charles was born in Ottawa in 1847. The family moved to Dauphin, Manitoba around 1880 and then to Vancouver, British Columbia in the early 1900s. Charles Hoy’s children were Walter James, Albert Ray, Irene Barbara and Ernest Charles.
