To meet the housing needs of workers, Hai Phong has also built two projects near large industrial parks. The Happy Home social housing project (Trang Cat ward, Hai An District) includes 27 7-9-storey apartment buildings with more than 4,000 apartments.
The workers’ housing project of Pegatron Vietnam (Dinh Vu-Cat Hai Economic Zone) is expected to complete the first phase by the end of this year and the second phase in 2027, providing housing for approximately 10,000 core workers.
According to the city’s resolution, in addition to completing 15,400 social housing units by 2025, Hai Phong also plans to develop residential areas with synchronized technical and social infrastructure. These projects must also be close to commercial housing in terms of location, quality and price, so that there are many market segments that suit the needs of most city residents.
In addition to the completed and ongoing projects, eight social housing projects have been selected by the Hai Phong City People’s Committee as investors, and another 11 projects are in the process of completing formalities and will soon start construction.
