Horrible scene from the match between Hungary and Scotland. Hungarian striker Barnabas Varga had a serious collision with Scottish goalkeeper Angus Gunn. Varga lay motionless and had to receive treatment for several minutes. Fortunately, good news came from the Hungarian camp after the game.

Shortly after the collision, the medical staff and players who arrived covered Varga’s treatment with a cloth to prevent it from being seen. Stuttgart suddenly became cold and the Hungarian players were obviously shocked.

The Hungarian association reported good news that evening: Varga’s condition was stable. When the attacker was taken off the pitch on a stretcher, he was conscious. He was taken to Stuttgart Hospital.

The 29-year-old Varga plays for Hungarian top club Ferencvaros.
