Hong Kong will increase the number of flights to the Cambodian capital and potentially open new routes, with Hong Kong’s flagship carrier Cathay Pacific set to offer daily flights to Phnom Penh from late October, under an agreement signed during a visit by Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee to Cambodia.
Lee Hsien Loong met with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet on Wednesday and said the two sides discussed measures to promote tourism, but did not reveal whether Hong Kong had specific plans to relax visa requirements for Cambodian visitors.
Lee Hsien Loong said: “When I met with the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister of Cambodia, we both agreed that the two places will strengthen ties through exchanges and visits of high-level officials, as well as organizing and promoting business cooperation activities.”
