In Panevėžys, a two-year overhaul of one of the densest Smėlynė streets leading into Riga is nearing completion.
With just weeks left to go until reconstruction is complete, the street is expected to be open to traffic by the start of the new school year.
Traffic on the Smėlynė Street, which is being rebuilt, has changed again. This week, the entrance to Railway Street was completely blocked.
Currently, access to the Rožyno individual housing microdistrict is permitted from Smėlynė Street through Alyvų Street.
