Firefighters asked all visitors to Lake Bohinj to provide a clear path for rescuers when collecting water and to follow the instructions of the authorities in and around Lake Bohinj.

The Bohinj Mountain Rescue Service wrote on social networks that on Thursday, passers-by on the Črno jezero-Komna route already smelled smoke. On the same day, the Komalca slope was thoroughly checked twice, but no traces of fire were found. However, on Tuesday, random hikers spotted smoke again. The thermal imager on the aircraft showed huge anomalies, which was also confirmed by the first rescuers, who headed for the difficult terrain where the fire was located and began to prepare the terrain for helicopter intervention.

It’s evening Cougar Empty the extinguisher bag of water four times to thoroughly saturate the fire. Currently, efforts are underway to prevent the fire from spreading and to completely extinguish it, the Mountain Rescue Service wrote.
