“We are in a chaotic situation. Almost the entire town of Siguiri is flooded, activities have stopped… It’s the same situation every year. The authorities should intervene because the situation is becoming more and more complicated,” said Seydou Koulibaly, a resident of the South Konda district.
Similarly, Babou Kamissoko, a resident of BTN area, said he lost everything in the floods.
“I am overwhelmed with sorrow. There is water everywhere. My TV, radio, food, clothes and other belongings are lost. We are seeking help from authorities at all levels,” he said.
