President Mokgweetsi Masisi has handed over much of the power of his office to powerful members of his inner circle.
This is not a power granted, but a power usurped.
This surrender was not voluntary.
This is the result of constant cajoling, manipulation and outright blackmail.
These officials have built small empires for themselves in the public service.
Every day they manipulate the President, abuse their power, intimidate and terrorize other officials, and endanger the foundations of our national security.
Not only do these individuals trade in sensitive information they acquire while performing their official duties, but they also use it from time to time against their masters – primarily to evade and avoid responsibility.
