Hamas issued a statement late Monday, according to Iran’s Islamic Republic News Agency, highlighting Israel’s continued atrocities in Gaza, especially in the city of Deir el-Balah.
The statement noted that forcing Palestinians to flee their homes through heavy bombing, relocating them to small areas without human services, and shutting down the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital are other forms of genocide committed by the Zionist occupiers, just like Nazi Germany.
Hamas once again calls on the international community, the United Nations and its relevant agencies to stop the genocide in Gaza and demand that the occupation authorities cease their crimes against Palestinian civilians.
The international community should help deliver fuel and necessary medical equipment to get Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital back online, and take immediate action to prosecute and punish Israeli war criminals.
Earlier, the Zionist regime ordered the evacuation of residents in northeastern Deir el-Balah and the closure of the city’s only government hospital.
International aid groups and the United Nations have also raised alarm over the forced displacement of nearly a quarter of a million Palestinian citizens and the closure of 25 shelters and four new wells in Deir el Balah, which supply 70 percent of the local population.
