Port-au-Prince, July 7, 2024 (AlterPresse) – In a transition that seemed to be taking its course, there is a lot of talk but little action. This is the complaint we are beginning to hear. Three months after Haiti established another political framework, expectations are high as problems are many.
Insecurity remains a huge record. Kenyan police are coming as part of the Multinational Security Support Group. Other groups are coming. But the difference between the presence and absence of foreigners has not yet emerged.
On the Haitian side, people are asking whether all the leaders of the transition have agreed on how to address security issues and thus stop the deterioration?
Although the Transitional Presidential Council did not mention the Kenyan police, why was there never a National Security Council? (GP July 7, 2024, 16:00)
