P-au-P, July 30, 2024 (AlterPresse) – A Kenyan policeman was shot in the shoulder during an attack on a multinational force patrol, an armed group that tried to seize a shipment of rice not far away. After noon on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, around 3:15 pm local time (7:15 pm GMT), the National Port Authority (Apn, located at the bottom of the city of Port-au-Prince) issued a message. The Kenyan police officers were evacuated to the Multinational Force Hospital for appropriate care.
Mmas said the Kenyan police officer suffered minor abrasions and was in stable health pending further medical attention.
Several attackers were reportedly killed by the Mmas patrol, which responded to the attack by armed criminals.
