Government: Inauguration
The inauguration of Prime Minister Gary Cornille will take place at the Villa d’Aceuil on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at 10:30 am. According to a member of the Presidential Transition Council (CPT), the Cabinet of Ministers will also be inaugurated on the same day.
PNH 29th anniversary celebrations cancelled

Distribute non-food items at 6 locations
Around 11,000 displaced people living in six shelters received tarpaulins to improve their living conditions in the shelters and protect them from natural disasters. Families living in these shelters also benefited from non-food items such as blankets, jerrycans, cooking utensils and solar lanterns distributed by the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
Acute and severe malnutrition affects children
From June 1 to 7, WFP provided more than $1 million in social protection and recovery activities for about 65,000 people across the country. During this period, health teams screened 2,593 children under five for acute malnutrition; 140 children with severe acute malnutrition were treated in health centres and mobile clinics.
Anti-corruption: Call for stronger international cooperation
In his speech at the 15th session of the Implementation Review Group of the United Nations Convention against Corruption and the 18th session of the Working Group on Asset Recovery, held in Austria from 10 to 14 June 2024, Jacques Ludwig Joseph, Director General of the United Nations Anti-Corruption Body (ULCC), called for strengthening international cooperation in the fight against corruption.
