The rapid impact project aimed at building the capacity of women-led institutions concluded today in Hais district in southern Hodeidah governorate with the First Deputy Minister of Hodeidah Governorate, Walid Al-Qadimi, the Director of the UNMHA Mission Office, Muhammad Ismail Khan, and the accompanying delegation.
The project is implemented by the Hodeidah Girls Foundation with funding from the United Nations Mission to Support the Hodeidah Agreement (UNMHA) and targets staff from the Hays City Changemakers Foundation.
In conclusion, the “old” agent stressed the importance of the project, which will allow the staff of the Changemakers Foundation to become active partners in development and society through the development of skills and empowerment of women in various fields… stressing the need to implement more development and strategic projects that benefit society.
Nizam Mughbash, Director of the Changemakers Foundation, explained that the project aims to build capacity in areas such as management, project management, marketing and sewing, allowing the foundation to provide opportunities for many women, including displaced women, women victims of war and residents to develop skills and increase their chances of joining the workforce.
The closing ceremony of the project was attended by Fathia Al-Maamari, director of the governorate’s human rights office, Ali Zuhair, acting secretary general of the Hais local council, and some directors of the directorate’s executive office.
