The Ohio State representative played the tournament from the round of 16 onwards, a benefit of their MLS championship, before hitting the road away from Kansas City, Inter Miami (where Hagan started) and beating the Philadelphia Union in the semifinals.
On the other hand, Nicolas Hagen is likely to be a backup again, given the return of American Patrick Schulte after participating in the Olympics with the US national team.
