The third Haapsalu Football Festival attracted hundreds of young football players who marched through the city to the beat of drums on the Friday afternoon before the event.
Haapsaru football players gather at the stadium in the city center and then march to the Haapsaru Bishop’s Castle, where the opening ceremony of the Haapsaru Football Festival takes place.
It’s an exciting time in football right now as the European Football Championship final is being played in Germany.
“A total of 35 teams are participating in the Haapsaru Football Festival. Participating countries include Estonia, Latvia and Finland, with about 500 young players,” said Eric Card, organizer of the Haapsaru Football Festival.
If the European Championship champions will be crowned in Germany on July 14, the highlights of the Haapsalu Football Festival will be revealed this Sunday.
