Guns N’ Roses Guitarist Slash pays heartbreaking tribute to his stepdaughter Lucy Blue Knight, She died at the age of 25.
Knight is the daughter of Slash’s girlfriend Meegan Hodges and her ex-boyfriend Mark Knight. Died in Los Angeles on July 19his family said in a statement last week.
The cause of her death has not been disclosed.
Slash, real name Saul Hudson, has now posted a second tribute to Knight on his Instagram page, saying his heart is “forever broken”.
He said: “I will never stop missing you and I will remember that you were and still are a beacon of happiness, laughter, creativity and beauty.
“You were the brightest light in the lives of so many people who loved you dearly. I take solace in the fact that I hope you are resting in peace now. I will always love you.”
Many of the rock star’s friends and fans expressed their condolences in the comments section of his post.
Lenny Kravitz wrote: “My deepest condolences to my brother. Yes she is still alive! Love to her family.”
Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine said: “Ah my friend I’m so sorry. Love you and your family.”
“I’m so sorry,” Hollywood actor Jason Momoa said. “Deepest condolences to Meagan and your brother.”
Slash, real name Saul Hudson, first dated Knight’s mother in 1989 before the two rekindled their romance in 2015.
In a statement announcing her death, Knight’s family called her a “gifted artist, a passionate visionary and a charming, loving and sweet soul.”

The family added: “The family requests that privacy be respected at this time and that speculation on social media be minimized as they grieve and process this devastating loss.”

Slash canceled some dates on his tour due to “unforeseen circumstances” and resumed his solo tour on July 28.
Refunds for four shows, including July 25 at Ohio’s Ross Music Center and July 27 at the Colosseum in Windsor, Ontario, have been provided at the point of sale.
