Guam Department of Homeland Security warns residents to beware of scam calls and text messages

Officials say there have been recent reports of Guam residents receiving phone calls claiming they have won large prizes from Publishers Clearing House and Samsung, encouraging residents to drive to a location to meet and sign paperwork to claim their prizes, encouraging residents to buy gift cards and sending them codes, and even using the names of the governor’s office and the Guam Department of Homeland Security to convince residents they are credible.
