When I invited him to the launch of the Lujian beer project a few weeks ago, he apologized for not being able to come: “I go to bed very early every morning so that I can get up before noon and open – it’s difficult to find workers in the Eshkol region now,” he said – I assured him that let’s get started.
We arrived with a small case of “Shakma” beer, the craft beer that comes with the project, and we sat down to hear what could be done to help him – from updating the colors to the lighting, from new furniture to a collection of wine glasses: everything needed to refresh the space and make it more attractive to regulars, hoping that they will come back soon.
Not only will we take care of the work, we will also celebrate the event with a festive evening that is just as important as the action itself.
Why is it equally important? Because although the place is still open, the main customers of the bar used to be audiences from nearby settlements, and now are soldiers and members of the security forces. True, Pub Gulot is a very valuable audience, and we serve them with love, but at the same time we have a longing for the old customers, some of whom are still being evicted.
