Greece Design | Build Recently, joint venture companies RL Cold and BentallGreenOak celebrated the groundbreaking ceremony for a 215,766-square-foot cold storage warehouse in Mount Laurel.
The proposed cold storage facility would be able to accommodate temperatures ranging from -10°F to 55°F and would feature four variable temperature bays. Other building features would include a dedicated USDA inspection area, 27 dock positions with sanitary dock pits, vertical dock levelers, vehicle truck restraints, and a 5,000 square foot storage mezzanine.
At the groundbreaking ceremony, Michael Adkins, BGO’s vice president of development, stressed the “urgent need for high-quality, sustainable facilities to support the movement of essential products such as farm-fresh produce and sensitive medications in the supply chain.”
RL Cold COO Josh Lewis expressed the importance of community: “We chose to work with local builders who have extensive experience working in the community, and working with Greek has been very beneficial to this project so far. Construction has been completed on schedule and under budget.”
