Grace Atlanta Caribbean Jerk Festival returns September 1

The 19th Grace Atlanta Caribbean Jerk FestivalPresented by Publix, it will make a splash on Sunday, September 1, with a vibrant celebration of Caribbean culture.

The event will be held from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm at Lithonia Park, 2501 Park Avenue, Lithonia, Georgia, offering attendees a full day of delicious food, lively music and engaging cultural experiences.

Festival highlights:

• Over 20 food vendors: Festival goers can enjoy a wide variety of Caribbean cuisine, from spicy Jamaican roast chicken and savory oxtails to sweet plantains, ensuring there is something for everyone’s taste.
• Grace Fine-Dining: Celebrity Chef Irie will showcase his culinary expertise through exclusive cooking demonstrations using Grace seasonings and sauces. Attendees can sample new recipes and learn valuable cooking tips to try at home.
• Publix Culinary Experience: Publix will host interactive cooking challenges and demonstrations that will allow food lovers to delve into Caribbean cooking with top chefs. The experience will highlight fresh ingredients and bold flavors.
• Live Music Performances: The festival’s entertainment line-up includes performances by renowned Caribbean artists such as Baby Cham, Tanya Stephens, Rupee and Adaeze. DJ sets by Mixmaster David, Richie D, Extatic Sound and DJ Juggla will keep the music high with reggae, soca, dancehall and afro beats.
• Corporate Walk: Corporate Walk will feature renowned brands and businesses showcasing their products and services. Attendees can interact with brand representatives and discover exclusive offers.
• Craft Village: Explore Caribbean culture at the Craft Village, where artisans will offer handmade jewelry, clothing, arts and crafts that celebrate Caribbean creativity and traditions.
• Play Area: The play area is suitable for all ages and will entertain the children with games and activities, making it a family-friendly event.

Celebrating Caribbean Heritage

Founded in 2005 by the late Glenn Simmonds, Grace Atlanta Caribbean Grill has become one of Atlanta’s most anticipated annual events. The event is a living celebration of Caribbean heritage, bringing together people from all backgrounds to enjoy the sights, sounds and flavors of the Caribbean.

Last year’s festival attracted over 6,000 attendees and this year’s festival is set to be an even bigger success with its impressive line-up of entertainment and activities.
