Libreville, Tuesday, August 20, 2024 (Infos Gabon) – After a period of intense activity, especially related to the follow-up of documents from their respective ministries, the ministers of the transitional government have rightfully enjoyed a week of vacation, but only at home and not abroad.
In any case, this is the measure that has just been taken by the President of the Transition, General Brice Clotaire Origi Nguema. In fact, the spokesperson for the Institutional Transition and Restoration Commission (CTRI), Colonel Ulrich Manfoumbi Manfoumbi, stressed in press release n°064 issued last Sunday that members of the Government must spend their holidays at home, instead of going abroad as usual.
Furthermore, the Head of State invited members of the Government team of Prime Minister Raymond Ndong Sima to their respective places for a holiday, hoping that they would be able to immerse themselves in the reality that their compatriots experience every day. However, the CTRI spokesperson recalled that in cases of justified force majeure or for health reasons, exceptional measures can only be taken with the express authorization of the Head of State.
By making this decision, General Brice Clotaire Origi Nguema hopes to completely change the bad habits of the past, which meant that members of the government simply left the country as soon as they had their vacation days. At the same time, they took their families, friends, etc.
All of this is supported by state public funds. What’s worse, their return to resume activities is nothing more than a real Allesian (will come, will not come).
So much for decoration. Therefore, in order to put a final end to this reprehensible behavior, which not only damages the country’s image but also causes huge economic losses to the country, the transitional president decided not to address this situation any more. As before. Because we set several goals, especially to promote the development of the country, build roads, schools, hospitals, improve people’s living conditions and so on.
