Gotthard Tunnel closed for 18 nights for work
The Gotthard River will be closed for several nights from early September to early October for maintenance work. Traffic will be diverted via the pass road.
The first night of closure will be September 4-5.

The Gotthard road tunnel will be closed for 18 nights between the beginning of September and the first week of October. Maintenance work is the reason. Traffic will then be diverted via the mountain pass road. Weekends are not affected.
Uranian authorities said on Wednesday that the metro line connecting Göschenen (UR) and Airolo (TI) will be closed in both directions from 8:00 pm (sometimes 9:00 pm) to 5:00 am. Trucks will be stopped early to avoid passing through the Gotthard.
The first night of closure is September 4-5. The last night is October 3-4.
