This was said by Brigadier General Stanimir Yordanov, head of the Ministry of Defense’s “Operation and Readiness” Directorate, to reporters in Aylin-Perin, according to Novini.bg correspondents. Yesterday, a fire broke out in a warehouse for fireworks and other pyrotechnics between the town of Aylin-Perin and the village of Gala Aylin-Perin.
He added that currently, industrial accidents form within the confines of the unit, which is nearby and can respond immediately.
Brigadier General Yordanov said that another military formation is ready to be deployed on the battlefield, which will come from Belenni. It has robots and about 12 servicemen – engineering specialists. These are small robots that can move to a location at a certain distance from the operator. Brigadier General Yordanov announced that if the situation is safe for the operators, they can enter the location and transmit real-time images.
He explained that two attempts were made to enter the area of the burning fireworks warehouse with armored vehicles, but this is not recommended at this time.
