A driver was spotted by police officers taking part in Operation Bank Holiday Road Safety on the N24 Tibberaghny, Piltown, Kilkenny, travelling at 186km/h.

In the latest update on the August Bank Holiday weekend road policing operation, which began at 7am on Thursday, Gardaí said nearly 125,317 vehicles had been checked for speeding.
