Libreville, Thursday, June 27, 2024 (Infos Gabon) – At its meeting on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, the Council of Ministers reiterated the government’s commitment to guaranteeing better preparation of Gabonese athletes for the Olympic Games planned to take place in Paris, France, from July 26 to August 11, 2024, and the Paris Paralympic Games (France), scheduled for August 28 to September 8, 2024.

Taekwondo athlete Emmanuela Atora began her preparations a few months ago in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with the help of the state and partners. Sprinter Wessi Franck Haye Yenda, judoka Virginie Aymard and others will also benefit from state scholarships to calmly approach their respective competitions.

“CTRI and the government are keen to ensure the success of Gabonese representatives at these sporting events.” Five Gabonese athletes who qualified for the Olympics, notably in swimming, judo, taekwondo and track and field, were also affected by this release.
