Members of the Group of Seven reiterated their rejected claims about Iran’s nuclear and missile programs in their final statement on Thursday (June 25/July 14), Tabnak reported, citing Tasnim News Agency.

“We call on Tehran to reverse nuclear tensions and cease its continued uranium enrichment activities, which have no credible civilian justification,” said a statement seen by Reuters.

Another part of the statement states: “Iran must engage in serious negotiations and provide credible assurances that its nuclear program is exclusively peaceful.”

Last night, Western media reported that the Islamic Republic of Iran has informed the IAEA of its intention to further develop its nuclear program by installing new centrifuges at the Natanz and Fardo nuclear facilities. These media claimed that Tehran’s actions were in response to the IAEA’s anti-Iran resolutions.

The accusations against Iran come as the U.S. government ended its participation in the Iran nuclear deal in 2018 and reinstated all sanctions on Iran that had been suspended under the deal.

In addition, Group 7 members reiterated claims that Iran intends to launch missiles at Russia and said they are ready to increase pressure on the country if Tehran takes such action.

“We call on Iran to refrain from aiding Russia in its war in Ukraine and from transferring ballistic missiles and related technology to that country, as such actions would create new tensions and pose a direct threat to European security,” the statement said.

The Islamic Republic and Russia have repeatedly denied sending missiles and drones from Tehran for use in the war in Ukraine.
