The Yemeni Journalists Syndicate mourns the death of our colleague Muhib Farouk Alwan Zwa, editor-in-chief and publisher of the Ansem website specializing in humanitarian and heritage issues, who died heroically today, Sunday, following a traffic accident in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, early July last year.
With this painful departure, the press has lost an active journalist interested in humanitarian issues and known for his good relations with his colleagues.
The deceased was born in Al-Qubaita district, Lahj governorate in 1981 and received a master’s degree in journalism and communication from the Institute of Journalism and Press Sciences (IPSI) of the Republic of Tunisia in February 2018.
The deceased served as editor-in-chief of Akhbar Al-Youm newspaper from December 2012 to May 2014. He also worked as a reporter for the Tunisian newspaper 30 Minutes and was the head of the investigative department of Akhbar Al-Youm newspaper in 2011.
Zoe worked as an editor at MBC’s Sana’a office from April 2008 to March 2012.
He is considered one of the foremost writers of the human story and has won many awards specifically for this.
The Yemeni Journalists Syndicate expresses its deepest condolences and sympathy to the family of our dear colleague and to the press and media community. We pray that the Almighty God will bless the deceased with great mercy and inspire his family, loved ones and friends. With patience and comfort friends, we belong to God and we will return to Him.
