Stefan Kovač (25), a former Bosnia and Herzegovina youth team representative, is about to move to Partizan, where he should strengthen the Belgrade club’s midfield.

Kovac, who currently plays for Kukalic, is considered one of Partizan’s most important summer signings as his game characteristics meet the requirements of head coach Alexander Stanojevic.

Serbian media reported that Partizan’s initial target was Ifet Jakovac, a football player for TSC Bačka Topola and a potential future member of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team. However, after negotiations failed, the club turned to Stefan Kovac.

Kovac played 183 games for Kukalic, scoring 20 goals and providing 14 assists.

He started his football career in the youth division of Red Star and was loaned to IMT before becoming a permanent member of the Kukariki first team in 2019. Kovac has represented Bosnia and Herzegovina in all youth trials, making 14 appearances in total.
