Vice presidential candidate Reynold “Arnold” Oilucci submitted his nomination application to the Palau Election Commission office on August 5 in the presence of his family and supporters.
Many candidates, including Oilucci, chose to submit their candidacies on August 5 because Palau traditionally considers the “new moon” to be an auspicious day to start a new business.
In a statement released on Monday, Oilous said he had decided to run for the vice presidency with the support of his family to support whoever is elected president and strengthen government services for the benefit of the people.
