The poll surveyed more than 1,500 young voters in Arizona, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan, North Carolina, Nevada and Wisconsin between August 16 and August 20.

When deciding which candidate to support, most respondents said they were most concerned about jobs, the economy and the cost of living. When asked which candidate they trusted more to address that issue, the gap between the candidates narrowed significantly, with 38% saying Harris and 33% saying Trump.

Early in the campaign, the vice president was able to build an advantage over her opponent and gain an edge over her predecessor, President Joe Biden. The gap between Biden and Trump among 18- to 34-year-olds is much wider, with Biden at 53% and Trump at 47%.
