Ecuadorian Foreign Minister Gabriela Sommerfeld insisted on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, Meeting with Colombian Foreign Minister Luis Murillo.

Another topic discussed was the importance of analyzing the sanitary, phytosanitary and zoosanitary limitations of Ecuadorian and Colombian products. Prime Minister Sommerfeld specifically mentioned Ecuador’s exports of shrimp and other crustaceans.
On the transport front, the Ecuadorian prime minister told Murillo that the government and Ecuador’s international goods transport sector need to address the need for effective Andean regional integration and free land transit for international goods transport in accordance with Andean regulations.
On his X social network account, Murillo also spoke about his meeting with Sommerfeld. He said that relations between Colombia and Ecuador continue to strengthen.
