The Chief Advisor to the Interim Government is Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus.

The Chief Advisor to the Interim Government is Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus.

He told everyone that we must get rid of the tendency to force all demands to be met, threaten individuals with entering institutions, and create pressure to accept cases.

Dr. Yunus said these words in his address to the nation on Sunday (August 25).

“We have to get out of this trend. You have to be patient. The glory and potential of the student revolution will be dimmed by these activities and the efforts to build a new Bangladesh will be disrupted,” he said.

The Chief Advisor said, Bangladesh, which we bought with the blood of millions of martyrs and self-sacrifice of millions of mothers and sisters, has been destroyed by fascism and dictatorship. You have seen how they have done to each of our institutions. Corruption has spread to this country. Our country has turned into a country where even the pawns of the dictator have done unimaginable things, and no doubt, a fortune of Rs 400 crore has been earned through corruption. The education sector has been paralyzed, the banks and stock markets have been looted, world record project expenditures, illegal wealth smuggling, law enforcement agencies turned into puppets of their own political parties, freedom of speech, human rights are just the tip of the iceberg. The fascist government has destroyed the constitutional powers and the people’s right to seize power.

Dr. Yunus said that tyranny, corruption, unjust oppression, farce in the name of justice have endangered public safety. People have been tortured, deprived and discriminated. Millions of people, including the new generation, have been disenfranchised over the years. The dictatorship has taken ownership of the country in the hands of a few people, their families and the party, by placing various obstacles in the path of progress of the people. Dear countrymen, but standing on this threshold, we must build the dream of Bangladesh. I am committed to realizing Ved’s dream of building a country of non-discrimination, non-exploitation, welfare and free air, for which students and masses are fighting. Fred Lagna urged everyone to do their best to realize their dreams.

He said that he hoped that everyone would take out their strength and realize their dreams on this auspicious occasion. Their dreams are our dreams. The youth has created a great opportunity for the life of the country. We invite everyone to come forward and use this opportunity. After leaving the fascist regime in the face of public anger, we want to build a country where the human rights of every citizen are fully protected. We have only one goal – a free, democratic, non-discriminatory, non-communal Bangladesh. We are one family. We have one goal. We are committed to not letting any differences stand in the way of our dreams.

The Chief Advisor said that it has only been two weeks since this government came to power. I am very grateful for your support for the first phase of the national reform work. We know that your expectations of us are high. We are determined to meet this expectation. Despite the long-term undemocratic, 15 years of fascist rule have brought us a mountain of challenges in almost every field. But we are ready to accept this challenge. I come before you today to seek your prayers and cooperation on behalf of the government.
