Tottenham Hotspur management has decided to suspend Yves Bissouma from the Premier League match against Leicester City next Monday, August 19, after a video appeared to show the Mali midfielder inhaling laughing gas.
Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou announced the news at a press conference on Thursday.
“We have banned Bissouma from playing on Monday. He has to rebuild trust between him and me and between him and the team. The door is open for him but behaviour is key,” Postecoglou said.
The situation comes at a delicate time for the club as they prepare for the start of the Premier League season with a clash against the reigning champions. Postecoglou is keen to avoid the controversy as the team prepares for the start of the campaign.
