They raised these demands during a short rally at the Secretariat water pump on Tuesday (August 13).
The officials said that in order to build a non-discriminatory, transparent and accountable Bangladesh, we hope that the Secretary of State will sincerely cooperate and take immediate action to develop the ICT sector as an effective human resource for the government and implement and implement our demands: address disorders, mental distress and depression.
Their demands are:
1. Implement inter-departmental transfers and promotions of information and communication technology personnel in the Secretariat.
2. The titles of each position should be changed according to the main positions of the Secretariat.
3. All Ministries/Departments should have an ICT Department headed by an ICT Officer.
4. All ICT ministries/departments should stop direct recruitment to Grade VI and above posts and create opportunities for promotion.
5. Adequate career planning and up-to-date ICT-based professional training should be arranged for ICT workers while maintaining a fair working environment.
