This morning, a driver (30 years old) from Bosnia and Herzegovina was on the A10 in the direction of Villach when his truck caught fire, but he was not injured.

According to the police, the truck suddenly caught fire and the Salzburg Armed City Fire Brigade responded immediately.

Police said that when they arrived, the fire was confined to a local area and the fire-fighting work was nearing completion.

Rescue workers arrived at the scene and gave first aid to the driver. The driver was not injured but was in a state of shock.

This stretch of road was closed for more than three hours because Bosnian drivers were delivering goods and it was difficult just to clear the ground.

Police said the cause of the fire was likely technical.
