The Venice Film Festival management has announced the list of films participating in the 81st Venice Film Festival in all categories, in and out of competition, in addition to the Critics’ Week and the Horizon Competition.

Finding an outlet for Mr. Rambo (Egypt)

Directed and written by Khaled Mansour, and starring Essam Omar, Raki Saad and Samar Ibrahim, the film tells the story of a young man who rediscovers himself and is forced to face the fears of his past on a journey to save his dog and only friend “Rambo” from an unknown destiny.

The film will have its world premiere as part of the Orizzonti Extra program, which showcases films that represent the latest trends in international cinema to young people, thus bringing Egyptian cinema back to Venice. It is the first time in 12 years since director Ibrahim El Batout was selected in 2012 as part of the Orizzonti program.
